About the Admins

Yo-
We admins are a trio of school friends that are always annoyed when we can't scientifically classify a nonexistant creature off the top of our heads. So we started this blog. If you don't care, deal. But it would be nice if you wanted to join and stay caught up with our posts. If we need to edit something or add something, contact us by finding the admin list on the right sidebar. We're only in high school, so we've got loads to learn.
Right now, I'm working on a chart for scientifically classifying mythical creatures. I will be using Latin, so this might take a while (I don't like Latin much). If you've had Latin classifications in school, lucky you. You already know this. But basically, there are levels of classification that eventually boil down to a Latin name for an animal, plant, fungi, protist, etc. Example: The grey wolf's Latin name is Canis lupus, which translates literally as 'wolf dog' because of how closely the grey is in appearance to other dogs, like the husky. Canis means wolf. So if you also knew that the Latin word rufus meant red, you would be able to compare Canis lupus and Canis rufus and come up with the conclusion that Canis means wolf. That's part of the classification system which orders as: kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species. The Latin name is the genus and species. Eventually we'll make a page on the basics of scientific classification, but for now we're just going to post on creatures as often as we can. Anyway...
We appreciate the fact that you're reading this. Most people don't. If you hate us, send us hate mail (no, not really). If you love us, suggest us to your friends and give us feedback. Thanks to your support, our awesomeness can grow. Significantly. So have fun with that.
